Three Chairs Publishing was inspired by a quote from Henry David Thoreau’s Walden — “I had three chairs in my house; one for solitude, two for friendship, three for society.” — because it speaks to the connections we regularly welcome into our lives. As writers and artists, this quotes serves to remind us that when we create, we start a conversation — with ourselves, with our friend or loved one, with our community. That is, essentially, why we create.

Three Chairs Publishing brings those conversations to you in the form of thoughtful books and original artwork. Our first book, Look Up! Musings on the Nature of Mindfulness, is on sale now! Click here for details!

Then, be sure to click on the Conversations link, or follow our Facebook page, to join an ongoing discussion about writing, publishing and creative pursuits — as well as information about our current publishing efforts!
